Entertaiment is a broad term that covers many activities for pleasure and relaxation. Some of the most common forms of entertainment include: watching movies and television, playing games, listening to music, reading books or poetry, and participating in sports. Entertainment also includes attending dance performances, comedy shows, musicals, and visual arts. The word entertain comes from the Latin intertenere, meaning “to hold inside,” and is related to the Indo-European root ten, which means to stretch.
